We are pleased to announce the 4th Annual Harwich 5K Road Race. Last years race was a great success as we hosted over 700 participants with many new runners and walkers and many from our own town of Harwich. Thanks to our wonderful sponsors and attendees all proceeds went towards our Harwich Elementary, Middle and High Schools to help with their fitness projects and team sports, funds also went to The Harwich Community Center Youth Fitness Programs and a donation was made to the Harwich Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund. We are ready for this years race and eager to raise even more money. This race is certified by US Track and Field and will start and finish at the School House/Harwich Chamber of Commerce in downtown Harwich Port with a fun celebration party and award ceremony at Ember Coal Fired Pizza and Wings.
All are welcome to run, walk, volunteer and to just enjoy a fun day. Prizes awarded to top finishers in each age category. 50/50 Raffle and free t-shirts to first 300 registrants. T-Shirts are also for sale at $10 a piece.
The race is brought to you under the guidance of the Harwich Chamber of Commerce Charitable Foundation and all proceeds will go towards Youth Fitness Related Programs for the town of Harwich.
