23 libraries across the South Shore and Cape Cod will participate in the first annual Old Colony Library Network (OCLN) Crawl from Monday, June 5 through Saturday, June 17, 2023. The Crawl is designed to encourage residents of the South Shore and the Upper Cape to visit and explore the libraries spanning 3 counties and 22 cities and towns in Southeastern Massachusetts. Participants will receive paper passports to present at each library they visit, where they will get stamped as proof of the participants visit. Participants who visit a minimum of 5 libraries on the list and get their passports stamped during the 2-week timeframe will be eligible to win one of three road trip gift baskets; one for kids, one for teens, and one for adults. Passports will be available for pickup at all participating libraries. "This is the first time we have embarked on a crawl of this nature," explained Zoe Rath, Adult Services Librarian at the Norwell Public Library who spearheaded the event. "There have been similar events with other Massachusetts libraries, but this is the first for the Old Colony Library Network. I'm so excited to motivate people of all ages to visit our 23 participating OCLN libraries."
