May 2 1:15-4 p.m. RSVP to 508-420-8854 $4.00, free to members ($30/year). Registration begins at 1:00. Cape Cod Daytime Camera Club will present Sara Jane Thornington, a professional family portrait photographer, will give a hands on workshop on photographing special family events. Bring your camera and tripod to photograph models. You will learn how to take photos of those special family groups or family functions. Sarah Jane, past president of the Cape Cod Professional Photographers Association, is owner of the Studio By The Sea. She is a fan of natural light, and will discuss how to find beautiful light any time of the day, as well as how to use flash in the most flattering way. She will also discuss posing that will flatter your subjects, and tricks to photograph anyone from babies & toddlers to the seriously camera shy. This will be a hands on program, so you should be comfortable posing individuals and groups by the time you leave.
