    THE CAPE COD ART ASSOCIATION CAMERA CLUB MEETING MAY 13th
Subject - "Electronic Flash and Speedlights" with Lou Jones The next meeting of the Cape Cod Art Association Camera Club will be held on Thursday, May 13th at 7:00pm at the CapeAbilities Building on Mary Dunn Road in Hyannis (Directions below) All local amateur and professional photographers are welcome to attend the meetings as our guest.
The subject for the evening meeting is How to use electronic flash and speed lights
The speaker will be Lou Jones , one of Boston's most diverse and inspiring commercial and fine art photographers, known for his courage, creative skill and humanity. He specializes in photo-illustration and location photography for corporate, advertising & editorial clients like and specializes in electronic flash photography.
Jones' assignments have taken him often to Europe, South America, Africa, the Far East and 47 of 50 States. He has been on location at NASA, Boeing, Universal Studios, .He has also photographed twelve successive Olympic Games.
Lou Jones is past president of the New England chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers & was a long time member of the ASMP National Board of Directors. .
Lou Jones' images have been exhibited in galleries throughout the world, such as, the Smithsonian and Corcoran Galleries in Washington, DC, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, De Cordova Museum in Massachusetts, Cooper Hewitt Museum in New York City, Detroit Institute of Arts.
The International Photographic Council (United Nations) presented him with their highest award & the Boston Photography Collaborative gave him their CONTACT award.
Our camera club has programs to fit all levels of photographic experience, such as photo educational programs with lectures on photo composition, editing programs, exposure, using the digital camera, editing photos, and members who can help you with your photo problems. Plus, photo field trips, competition meetings, hands on workshops, critique meetings, and an annual banquet.
Visitors are always welcome. We meet at the CapeAbilities building, in Hyannis. Directions: From Route 132, take Independence Drive to the end, and turn right on Mary Dunn Road, then take the first driveway on right to the CapeAbilities parking lot.
