With names like Steve Earle, Lucinda Williams, Levon Helm and Emmy Lou Harris working with and giving props to Ana Egge, we know she's the real deal - a hugely talented songwriter who stands out as an original voice among a sea of by-the-numbers contemporary folk artists. Named "Best Folk Artist" and Best Singer/Songwriter" by the Austin Music Awards at the young age of 19 in 1999, Ana has since released 7 albums and toured with luminaries such as John Prine, Iris Dement, Lucinda Williams and Ani Difranco. Her latest release, Bright Shadow, is a gorgeous, classic bluegrass-inspired work. Ana will perform tonight as a trio with the acclaimed Moss Bros. This concert is the latest entry of the Little Folk Show, a collaborative new ongoing series showcasing established touring artists along with noteworthy young, up-and-coming Cape Cod folksters on the scene today. Opening the show will be local indie-folk hero and series co-creator Jordan Renzi, who has solidified herself as one of the hardest working, prolific and talented young artists on the Cape.
