    Cape Cod and Islands Red Cross announces local heroes for 11th Annual Red Cross Heroes Breakfast The American Red Cross of Cape Cod and the Islands is pleased to announce the 2012 Heroes who will be honored at the 11th Annual Heroes Breakfast at the Resort and Conference Center at Hyannis on April 4. We invite you to join us to hear inspiring stories of extraordinary acts performed right in your community. The Cape Cod & Islands Heroes Breakfast is the only event of its kind: it recognizes heroes throughout our community who perform extraordinary acts of courage by saving someones life, helping in the rescue of someone in need, or who has committed countless hours of service to an organization or community. No other event highlights ordinary citizens doing extraordinary things- regardless of the organization or community they serve- and informs us of these amazing people who make this such a special place to live. This event, which has sold out almost every year, has more than 500 people in attendance and receives enormous media coverage due to its special nature.
