Description:
    The Poetry Contest and open mike night are open to all students enrolled in grades 1-12 (including home schooled and tutored children). Each entrant may submit one poem of no more than 20 lines, provided that the content of the poem is not vulgar, offensive, does not employ profanity, and is the original, individual work of the entrant. Mail or hand-deliver poetry submissions by Friday April 9th, 2010 to Barnes & Noble at the Cape Cod Mall. Prizes: Winners will be chosen for different categories, for each grade level. Each winner will receive a Certificate of Achievement and be asked to read their winning submission, in person during the poetry event, Wednesday, April 21st, 2010, at 6 p.m. at Barnes & Noble in Hyannis, MA. After winners have read their winning poems, there will be open mike time for all students to read their poetry. Judges/Decisions: The panel of judges consists of members from the Cape Cod Council of the International Reading Association (CCCIRA).
