Description:
This special concert will take place after a morning photo shoot at the Cultural Center involving over 60 local jazz musicians. Karen Hewitt, one of the Cape's most ardent jazz fans, has planned the shoot, patterned after the great jazz photo A Great Day in Harlem, to thank those who have devoted themselves to keeping jazz alive and well. Several of those involved will join Fred Boyle (piano), Alan Clinger (guitar), Ron Ormsby (bass), and Bart Weisman (drums) to celebrate live jazz and the Cape's role as a place that has long honored the art form and its American roots.
