Description:
Apr 19 1-2 p.m. Free The mission of the Sampson Fund is to provide financial assistance for the rehabilitative veterinary treatment of critically ill or injured dogs and cats, whose caregivers cannot afford treatment or who are found without known care givers. Offering an alternative to euthanasia and preserving the unique emotional, social and beneficial bonds that tie animals and humans together The Sampson Fund began with a gift and a simple idea. The gift was a modest monetary remembrance from the owner of Sampson, a Cape Cod cat. The owner wished that his gift be used to help someone else's pet, someone who could not afford the full cost of veterinary care. Patti Smith, President of this fund, will be here to talk about the people and animals it has helped since its very beginning. The Sampson Fund For Veterinary Care, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides financial assistance for critical veterinary care for dogs and cats on Cape Cod. In 2011 The Sampson Fund gave out $55,000 to help 96 pets.
