Description:
Boston piano expert Philip Schoonmaker will give two free lectures in conjunction with the exhibit, one on March 25 at 3pm and the other on April 12 at 3pm This traveling exhibit celebrates the American-made instrument that is widely acknowledged as the world's finest piano. Free and open to the public. The exhibit is sponsored by M. Steinert & Sons of Boston, the oldest music store in America. It features a Steinway Model B Grand Piano that has been cross-sectioned to expose its inner workings, as well as an historical timeline and videos on the year-long manufacturing process that goes into every Steinway piano. All are welcome.
