Description:
Have you ever wanted to be herring counter? Have you counted herring in the past? Have you wondered just what is a herring counter anyway? Please join us on Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 1:00-3:00 PM at Liberty Hall in Marstons Mills to find out. We are looking for volunteers to be herring counters at Mill Pond in Marstons Mills. We will have a short training session and then Elliott Carr will be on hand to conduct a book signing of his newest book "Herring Run: Life and Death at Stony Brook". He will also give a short presentation on the trials and tribulations of being a herring! All are welcome!
