Description:
Please join us for what is sure to be a glorious celebration of reading, community and food sponsored by the Sandwich Public Library and Titcomb's Bookshop.
We've invited book experts,Michael Kindness and Ann Kingman to lead the discussion. Michael and Ann write the award-winning website and blog, Books on the Nightstand: Illluminating Conversations About Books and Reading. They also host Booktopia, an exciting series of reader/author get-away weekends throughout the US. For their "day jobs" they are sales representatives for Random House and have more than four decades of combined book and publishing experience. (Oh, and they are really nice people, too!)
We couldn't possibly talk about books without something to eat! We are celebrating a wonderful new book called Soup Night: Recipes for Creating Community Around a Pot of Soup. ($19.95) We'll serve some delicious soup made from recipes in the book. Desserts will round out the afternoon.
Cost is $3.00 per person. Reservations are required and can be made by calling or visiting the bookshop. We will be handing out lots of free review copies of books to attendees and many of the books referred to by Michael and Ann will be available at the event at 20% off.
