Female Adventurers: The women who helped colonize Massachusetts and Connecticut, profiles a dozen unsung heroes who are representative of all the courageous women who left comfort behind and migrated into the wilderness of New England in the 1630s. Readers will gain insight into the commitment that their foremothers made and the challenges they encountered. This book talk is done in the costume of a 17th century Puritan woman, and Stelzer will have copies of her book to sell and sign.

Author Alice Plouchard Stelzer has been writing for more than 25 years as a publisher and editor, columnist, journalist, and public relations consultant. During that time, she has also worked hard to find ways to support the women's community. The author is a strong supporter of women in history and hopes to see more books on the subject published in the near future. Female Adventurers is Alice Plouchard Stelzer's addition to the field.
