About the ECHO Program: This program was started in 1970 and has since helped over 9,000 youth deepen their faith and communication skills with other teenagers. ECHO is Catholic based but youth of all faith are welcome. Each year, the ECHO Youth Board, made up of teenagers who went through the program themselves, support 6 weekend retreats, three for young men, three for young women. Each retreat starts Friday evening and ends Sunday evening with a closing Mass and ceremony. The schedule of upcoming retreats is: November 13-15 for girls and December 11-13 for boys. Spring retreat dates are January 15-17 and March 5-7 for girls and February 5-7 and March 26-28 for boys. Applications may be downloaded from the website: www.echoofcapecod.org The teams facilitating each retreat are made up of teenagers who have previously experienced an ECHO weekend, clergy, and adult members of various parish communities. Youth participating do not have to be church going, but should be open to deepening their faith and enhance their relationship with Jesus. It takes $125 to support one teenager participating in the program. ECHO is currently finalizing its fundraising effort towards raising $10,000 to support one full year of the program.
