    Barnstable Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) presents BASIC RIGHTS IN SPECIAL EDUCATION Monday, March 8th, 2010 at 6:30 PM Barnstable High School - Follow the signs from the Main Office entry, across from Sovereign Bank Christine Riley, a representative from the Federation for Children with Special Needs, presents this workshop designed to help parents learn how to understand their childs eligibility for special education services, make informed decisions, monitor their childs progress and be effective partners with the school. Rights and responsibilities under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Massachusetts Special Education Law, and No Child Left Behind (NCLB) will be discussed. Presented in collaboration with the Barnstable School District, to meet the District's annual requirement to present to parents and the public a Basic Rights and Responsibilities workshop.
