Description:
    Duration 1.5 hours
The Sandwich Public Library has gathered eight local authors to facilitate fifteen writing workshops during February and March, thanks to a generous gift donation from the Boucher Family Charitable Gift Fund. The workshops in this series will cover a wide variety of writing genres including: plays/screenwriting, historical fiction, memoir, cookbooks, intuitive writing, and poetry. A full list of the workshops being offered, and the details, can be found on the Writing Workshop Series tab found on the Sandwich Public Library website.

Participants who attend at least one workshop will be entered for a chance to win a journal and pen set, supplied by Titcombs Bookshop. Those who attend three or more workshops will be entered for a chance to win one of three writing opportunities: a gift certificate to the Sandwich Arts Alliance, a gift certificate to the Academy for Lifelong Learning of Cape Cod, or a Barbara E. Struna Annual Membership Scholarship from the Cape Cod Writers Center.

I am thrilled that the Library is able to offer this exciting series to our patrons, said Diane Costagliola, Library Director. The Cape is home to many talented authors and aspiring writers, and thanks to this generous donation from the Boucher Family, we are able to bring the community together and spark creativity.

Thanks to the generosity of the Boucher gift, the public is also invited to register for a featured event on Saturday, March 8 at the Sandwich Town Hall Auditorium with bestselling author Anita Diamant. Ms. Diamant will be in conversation with Melinda Gallant, host of Sandwich Community Television's "Cape Conversations." Anita Diamant is known for her bestselling novels including The Red Tent and The Boston Girl. After their conversation, Ms. Diamant will take questions from the audience and do a book signing after the event. Copies of her books will be available for purchase, courtesy of Titcomb's Bookshop.

To register for any of the writing workshops being offered, please visit the Writing Workshop Series tab on the Library website at sandwichpubliclibrary.com/writing-series or see the Librarys Event Calendar to learn more about each individual workshop.
The public is encouraged to sign up for a few workshops, or register for all
