    Cape Breton Fiddlers ~ Troy MacGillivray and Kimberly Fraser Saturday March 20 at 7:00 PM "MacGillivray, a native of Lanark, Nova Scotia, was teaching piano at the Gaelic College of Celtic Arts and Crafts in St. Anne's, Cape Breton by age 13. He went on to study at the Toronto Conservatory of Music and St. Francis Xavier University. Troy's fifth recording, When Here Meets There, (2009)is a unique collaboration with Canadian & US National Fiddle Champion Shane Cook showcases why both fiddlers are at the top of their game. When Here Meets There won two 2009 East Coast Music Awards. Kimberley Fraser was born on Cape Breton Island, and like many in Cape Breton, music is not new to Kimberleys family. She proudly owns the fiddle of her great great grandfather, spanning the musical tradition within her family over a hundred years. Kimberley has released two albums and her second, Falling on New Ground, won the 2008 East Coast Music Award for best Roots/Tradtional Album of the Year. "
