Description:
ALL-DAY FUNDRAISER FOR RED CROSS HAITIAN RELIEF EFFORT
Cape Cod's musical community will be turning out in force for an all-day fundraiser to benefit the Red Cross Haitian Relief Effort.
Date is Sunday February 21st, noon to 9:00 pm. The venue is Tommy Doyle's, 334 Main Street, Hyannis, at the corner of Main Street and Barnstable Road (phone 508.862.9430, www.tommydoyles.com).
Admission is $10.00 and all are welcome.
In addition to the entertainment - traditional, acoustic, and rock - there will be a raffle featuring prizes donated by supporters of the effort. All the day's proceeds will go to assist the Red Cross as they seek to restore some semblance of normalcy to the devastated country of Haiti.
Acts already in place include the Cape Tradition, BluKat, Carbon Copy, Dave Hickey, Stanley & Grimm, the Maureen Haley Academy step-dancers, OTM Shank, and many others. "We're very pleased to be part of this," said pub manager Jason Irving. "We're planning on providing a nice mix of musical styles - the traditional and acoustic acts earlier in the day and the more rock-oriented groups after 5:00 pm. There should be something here for everybody!"
