On Saturday, February 6, 2010 the band, Groovy Afternoon, will take audiences at Tommy Doyles (334 Main Street, Hyannis MA - (508) 862-9430) on a musical journey back to the Woodstock era and beyond, revisiting the signature classic rock sounds of late 60s and early 70s.
Turning every night into the summer of love, this band of merry pranksters will take the audience on a jaunt through the roots of rock that will expand the mind and make them move and groove as they revisit a moment in time when music truly defined the social landscape and carried the universal message of Peace and Love.
The band members of Groovy Afternoon collectively have over 100 years of musical experience under their belts and include critically acclaimed rock vocalist and screen actor, Christine Mascott, guitarist Paul Mascott whose performance credits include international touring productions of The Whos Tommy and Jesus Christ Superstar, Mike Byrd Preston on bass guitar, a published songwriter with 40 years of musical experience and Andrew Ianniello on drums who has been playing professionally for 20 years.
