    Sandwich Public Library celebrates Black History Month with an author talk and book signing with Dr. Michael V. Pregot
In celebration of Black History Month, the Sandwich Public Library in collaboration with the Sandwich Town Archives, welcomes local history author, Dr. Michael Pregot for a reading, talk and book signing on Thursday, February 5, 2026.

This event is free and open to all, however registration is required through the event calendar on the Library website or by calling the library at 508-888-0625.

Refreshments will be provided courtesy of the Friends of the Sandwich Town Archives.

Dr. Pregot will present his newest book Slavery and Abolitionism on Cape Cod. He will discuss the religious views, political platforms, economic factors, and social movements that existed during the pre Civil War period and will share many local stories. Copies of Dr. Pregot's book will be available for purchase during the event. Cash or check only.
