    eb. 29 11 a.m.-12 p.m. RSVP-Free Joan Muller, education coordinator at the Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve in Falmouth, will present a lively Power Point program about the Estuarine Research Reserve system across the country and illustrate the work being done at the local level. Joan will explain what estuaries are and why they are important. She will discuss the major issues affecting the health of our coastal waters, highlight ongoing research projects at the Waquoit Bay Reserve and provide ideas for simple ways that you can get involved and make a difference. The Reserve in Falmouth is part of the Massachusetts State Parks system and is one of 27 sites in the U.S. that comprise the National Estuarine Research Reserve System (NERRS). The Waquoit Bay Reserve is administered by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation in partnership with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
