Description:
Feb. 10 11 a.m.-12 p.m. RSVP-Free Spinal Stenosis is a degenerative condition of the spine that plagues many people. It is a narrowing of one or more areas of the spine most often in the neck or lower back. This narrowing can put pressure on the spinal cord or spinal nerves at the level of compression. Depending on which nerves are affected, spinal stenosis can cause pain or numbness in the legs, back, neck, shoulders or arms, limb weakness and lack of coordination, loss of sensation in the extremities and problems with bladder or bowel function. Acupuncture can help. Meet Acupuncturist Arlene Myers, Lic. Ac. who has been an acupuncturist on Cape Cod since 1989. She is a graduate of the New England School of Acupuncture in Watertown. Using a combination of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and massage techniques, she has treated people for a wide variety of chronic conditions.
