The eight 20th century women whose lives and music will be highlighted in these performances have many of these things in common. Some came from such lowly beginnings and had so many struggles in their lives, it is hard to believe that they accomplished anything at all. Yet they found their way onto stages, into recording studios, and into films and brought joy to audiences world-wide.
