    Happy birthday, Mr. Burgess!

Green Briar Nature Center will honor the 142nd birthday of Sandwich native, author and conservationist Thornton W. Burgess (1874-1965) with a naturalist-led story time at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at 6 Discovery Hill Road, East Sandwich.

Attendees will be introduced to the resident animals at the nature center and each child in will receive a paperback Burgess storybook to take home.
