The American Red Cross, Cape Cod and Islands Chapter is organizing a number of training courses through a web-based and classroom option this winter. Classes available include: Adult, Infant and Child CPR/AED, First Aid, First Aid/CPR/AED for Schools and Community, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and several other classes aimed at CPR/First Aid/AED Instruction.

When signing up for a class, the students schedules a skills session for a specific date, which also includes the certification test and completes the web-based portion of the class by the desired date. The skills session and test for certification will take place at the Chapter House on 286 South Street in Hyannis unless otherwise indicated. The big advantage of the blended learning approach is that students may take it at their own pace and time. Students receive training manuals at their skills session.

One of the students told us: "I thought that taking this class was a lot of fun. It was really easy to follow and understand. The videos were very well done and I could do it at my own pace, which fit really well with my schedule."
